A quintessentially traditional grade II holiday cottage with low ceilings and doorways in the popular seaside town of Criccieth on the Llŷn Peninsula. Set in a quiet location, it’s just a short walk from beaches, the medieval castle and good cafes, restaurants and shops.
Downstairs is a cosy open plan living room. Comfortable sofas ranged around a stone inglenook fireplace with a coal effect electric fire. Dining table and chairs for four. TV with Freeview, CD/DVD player. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. French windows open out onto a well-managed terraced garden.
Upstairs are two bedrooms: one double room and one twin. The upstairs landing has views out over the garden and is a great quiet spot for reading. The family bathroom has a bath, shower, wash hand basin and loo.
Outside, a set of stone steps lead up to a lovely terraced garden which is ideal for relaxing in and for alfresco meals.
The centre of Criccieth is just a short walk away. There are wonderful coastal walks nearby and a little further afield is the Welsh Highland Railway - why not take a ride up into the mountains of Snowdonia? The Llŷn Peninsula is a lovely, undiscovered part of North Wales and great destination for a holiday.

Y Bwthyn is the archetypal holiday cottage - stone-built and Grade II Listed, with roses around the front door, set in a quiet location in the pretty seaside town of Criccieth.

"This pretty stone cottage is welcoming at any time of the year. Shops, cafés, castle, beach and even an ice cream parlour all just a few steps away."
Everything is just a short walk away. The beach, the castle, good restaurants, pubs and cafes, crazy golf, and interesting individual shops; you'll still find the greengrocer displaying his wares on the High Street. Take a ride on the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railway, or enjoy the stunning coastal walks. If you hop in the car you can discover the glorious mountains of Snowdonia.
With its spectacular scenery, this part of North Wales is a real hidden treasure... you will relax and return from your holiday completely refreshed.

The cottage is really nice it’s also in a lovely location. The only small complaint was there wasn’t any oven gloves getting food out of the oven with the tiny tea towel was dangerous we nearly dropped it on he floor, apart from that I would definitely recommend it and stay again myself

The Cottage is fabulous and so comfortable. The Dimplex fire was not working but this wasn’t an issue as the cottage was wonderfully warm due to the central heating. However, the flame effect would have been a cosy addition in the evenings. Everything was wonderful and a pint of milk in the fridge plus salt pepper and other condiments were a lovely welcome suprise.
