Acorn Bank is a modern lodge at Fallbarrow Park, in a lovely, elevated position surrounded by trees.
Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, with room in the master bedroom for an infant’s travel cot (can be hired along with a high-chair for £5). There is a spacious two-tier gated deck which wraps around the front and side of the lodge and has outside furniture provided, and the added fun of a hot tub on the upper deck outside the main patio doors. Outside furniture with plenty of space to eat outdoors and enjoy the hot tub will help you forget the stresses and strains of everyday life and pooch is welcome too! Inside is a spacious open plan living area with dining and kitchen space, modern dining table and chairs, 42” flat screen Smart TV. The master double bedroom has an ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom has narrow twin beds.
Both have cupboards and wardrobes and TV and there’s a family bathroom with shower. Fallbarrow Park is one of the loveliest Parks in the lake district, sitting right on the shores of Lake Windermere, with views across the lake and up to the fells all around. The bustling, cosmopolitan village of Bowness-on-Windermere is 0.2 miles walk away handy for many shops, bars and restaurants. From Bowness Pier you can start an unforgettable day out on the water with Windermere Lake Cruises – board a beautiful cruiser and hop on and off or rent a canoe or a motorboat. If you wish to stay closer to your lodge, Fallbarrow has on site bar, restaurant, deli, as well as a children’s play area, beer garden, picnic area and woodland walks. (dogs in the café or outside seating area only). Further afield, drive up to Windermere village – two miles away, or the bustling market town of Ambleside four miles away and you are only four miles from Troutbeck village at the foot of the Kirkstone Pass which winds its way up over the high fells and then down to Ullswater. A wonderful place to make special memories with your loved ones.

We are pleased to advise the owner offers a 10% discount to returning guests who have previously stayed at the their lodge. Please call to book and redeem the discount which will be added on confirmation of previous stay at this lodge. Please note: the discount will be deducted from the rental cost of the booking only.
Acorn Bank has a significant number of concrete and wooden steps to reach the lodge, which may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.
A travel cot and high chair are provided within the lodge. Please bring your own bedding for use with the travel cot, which will only fit in the master bedroom only.
There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £100 for this property.
Please note, charging of electric vehicles is not permitted in this lodge. The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.
Fallbarrrow Park management lock the entrance gates at midnight. If you are arriving after midnight, please call the night warden.
Park Rules and Operations – Fallbarrow
All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
Hot Tubs
For the comfort of other holidays guests we request that noise is kept to a minimum. Usage of the hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only. If you are found to breach these timings then you may be asked to vacate the park with no call for a refund.
All hot tubs are maintained to strict industry standards and HSE guidelines by separate qualified independent contractors on behalf of the property owners. This includes changing the water between guest stays and checking the water condition on a regular basis.
Whilst every effort is made to have a hot tub ready for immediate use by the arrival time stated, this may not always be possible. In such cases the hot tub will usually be ready to use later that day unless otherwise advised. In such cases no compensation or refund is payable unless the hot tub is faulty.
Information about using a hot tub safely is provided at all lodges with a hot tub and on a prominent notice near the tub. All hot tub users should wear an appropriate bathing suit. Usage of a hot tub is at a guests own risk and Lake District Lodge Holidays accepts no liability for anything which may happen to a guest as a direct result of using a hot tub.
Complimentary WiFi is provided by the park and subject to fair usage guidelines. Quality and reliability of connection will vary based on the number of people using it, prevailing weather conditions and therefore may be limited or slower than you are used to. WiFi is for personal use only and is not intended for high data usage, gaming and/or use for business purposes, This is only suitable for page browsing and sending emails. Bookings cannot be accepted if they are solely reliant on the provision of uninterrupted and unlimited Wi-Fi, We are not held responsible or liable for the WiFi on the park. If you encounter any issues with the WiFi, please contact Fallbarrow Park reception.
Please note that Fallbarrow Park does not allow boats to be stored next lodges, and boats are not allowed on Park.

A lovely ☺️ place to stay… Needs abit of tlc…. Decking has lifted in places… Hot tub wasn’t hot so didn’t use it a lot … Abit disappointed as we paid a lot of money for the 5 nights we stayed over Christmas…

The lodge is absolutely perfect! The only let down is the wooden steps leading from the gate, extremely slippery my wife fell the 1st taking our for a walk. The decking planks aren't the problem but the little wooden finishing at the end of the steps. They need a non slip surface on them! with them ...
