The cottage offers a kitchen and a sitting/dining area with gas central heating and a coal-effect gas fire. Having frequented the Lake District over many years staying in lodges and hotels, this was our first cottage break and definitely won’t be our last. Everything was just perfect, even down to the weather, for the first time ever we had to buy suncream for our break in the Cumbrian hills

The paving stones in the courtyard were extremely slippery and having read the signs and reviews etc. I was being really careful and nearly went flying! A very wet winter has definitely contributed to this property's current musty condition. However, it is not nearly as bad as previous reviews are making out.
