Springwell Cottage is a Grade II listed property located in Ambleside.
This family and pet friendly property is ideally located for exploring all Ambleside has to offer with easy access to the Northern Lake District. Head through the entrance hall into the two cosy sitting rooms, one boasting an open fire to enjoy on those cooler evenings after a day hiking.
A few steps lead down to the dining area with woodburning stove and door leading out to the patio area.
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay and a small breakfast table for those busy mornings before heading outdoors.
To the first floor are the three spacious bedrooms including; 2 king-size and 1 twin.
There’s also a modern bathroom and shower room. Ambleside is a popular base for walking in the Lake District but also offers plenty of independent shops and restaurants to enjoy too if you’re looking for a more relaxed break.
Take a walk into the centre of the village and visit the much-photographed Bridge House or take a walk up to Skelwith Force.
From here the scenic Langdale Valley, Hawkshead and Coniston are all within easy driving distance.

What a stunning cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and dog friendly we couldn’t ask for more. As soon as we walked through the door we booked again for next year. Great location for fell walks and Ambleside centre. Oh and the Golden Rule! Many Thanks James & Claire

We loved our stay here. The house is extremely comfortable and everything just works! We really had everything we needed. We didn’t bring a car and being located in this house and in Ambleside was perfect. We did walks from here or caught the bus. Caution if you are tall though, there are lots of low ceilings Strong recommend!!

The property was perfect to meet our needs for the week. The dogs were well provided for with lots of bowls. If I am being picky the shower hose could do with tightening to improve flow. It was our second stay which says a lot!
