This cosy , homely former crofter’s cottage with sheep , hares etc in surrounding fields is located in a wonderful rural spot ( pa42 7al area ) just off distillery road to the Oa area , a short distance past the new Port Ellen distillery, turn sharp right on to the single track road at the new Daill na Mara houses , a recent modern housing development which is now nearby on seaward side of the cottage only .
Homely , comfortable living areas and the peaceful rural location makes it the perfect choice for a family get away or get together with friends.
This refurbished in 2018 cottage retains much of its quirky traditional character but also includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home. This property has a real coal fire and electric heating to keep you cosy and warm during your stay. Staying here also allows you access to the open garden. Oh, and it’s pet-friendly too! As a self-catering cottage, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, an air fryer , a cafetiere coffee maker, and a microwave. The cottage is the perfect place to relax and offers a television and internet access. BT WIFI 🛜 This cottage has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 6. In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed also a small screen smart tv . In the next bedroom, there are 2 single beds. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds. Very important information !!!!!! MUST READ 👁️ This is NOT a 5 star modern unit , it’s a comfy 3 star rated but spacious “home from home” , a 100 plus years old modernised former crofters cottage with an unconventional Jack and Jill style layout ! Guest access to kitchen / toilet /shower from room 2 in extension is only by passing through room 1 Access from main building to bedrooms one and two is only through the kitchen and shower room / toilet although two bedroom extension has separate access door from garden area . ask if more information required * There is only one bathroom, which has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower. Linen and towels are all included . House Rules: - Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am. (Cleaner needs prompt access ) to prepare for incoming guests - Smoking is not allowed. - There are ample free on-street lay by parking facilities available at the property. - A washing machine is included for your use. - well behaved Pets are allowed at the property. Maximum 2 Not permitted on beds or furniture please. - There is a cleaning fee of £120.

The host was extremely flexible and supportive, given the difficulties with ferries on the island; ah, island living! Cosy cottage, good location, with an excellent walk through a forest to the beach nearby.

Omringde tuin voor hond, goed uitgeruste keuken, parkeerplaats voor de deur, goede hygiene
Indeling van het huis is niet praktisch. Je moet door de badkamer om in slaapkamers te komen. Ook 3e slaapkamer is enkel toegankelijk via 2e slaapkamer. De zitplaats buiten is aan vervanging toe. Geen haardroger.

Location was fine. quite a long walk into town but OK. Very quiet
The door was broken on the washing machine. Not a problem if we had Known before we got there. The drain on the shower was partially blocked but still worked. both need attention
