Sandy is a spacious apartment located in Cernobbio, one of the most charming towns on Lake Como. The apartment offers a modern and comfortable environment, ideal for families or groups of friends, perfect for those seeking a relaxing holiday with all necessary comforts.

Sandy features a large living room with a comfortable sofa, TV, and free Wi-Fi. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances needed to prepare your favorite meals. The apartment includes one double bedroom and another bedroom with two single beds, accommodating up to 4 people. The bathroom is complete with a shower. Additionally, the apartment has heating and air conditioning to ensure maximum comfort in every season.

The apartment accepts pets upon request. Baby cots are available at an additional cost. Upon request and for an additional fee, extra cleaning services and linen changes are also available.

NEIGHBORHOOD
Cernobbio is a characteristic lakeside town 7 km from the city of Como and near the Swiss border. Cernobbio is home to some of the most famous villas on Lake Como, such as Villa d'Este and Villa Erba. The town center of Cernobbio is within walking distance.
GETTING AROUND
For the convenience of guests, we recommend arriving by car.
Travel to and from Cernobbio is also quite manageable with public transportation. Numerous bus lines connect to the city of Como and other lakeside towns. Tickets can be purchased from the driver (cash only) or at designated sales points in Cernobbio or Como. Please note that buses do not run very frequently and the service stops around 10:00 PM! Taxis are available but not easily accessible in the region.
Another option is to take the ferry from the lakeside dock to reach Como and other nearby locations. Schedules and tickets are available on the Navigazione Laghi website.
From Como, it is easy to reach Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno) by train. Public ferries also depart from the central pier in Como to other lakeside towns.
The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. A direct shuttle to and from the airport can be arranged at an additional cost.

TIPS
If you feel like walking, the center of Como is within walking distance. The walk takes less than an hour. Take the main road to Villa Olmo, then there is a pedestrian path along the lake.
To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the small towns, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes.
There are many public fountains in the towns and the water is drinkable unless otherwise indicated. Tap water is also drinkable. You can bring your refillable bottle with you!
From Cernobbio, there are many hiking opportunities in the nearby woods, up to Monte Bisbino.
If you are looking for an easy hike in the area and still want to enjoy the mountain views, the Greenway del Lago di Como is an easy-to-follow path that does not require too much climbing. The Greenway passes through the towns from Colonno to Griante. From Cernobbio, you can reach the starting point in Colonno by bus. Another pleasant and relaxing hiking trail in the area is the Via Verde, which connects Moltrasio to Laglio.
In Italy, many shops (especially small ones) and services close at midday, so be sure to plan your shopping accordingly.
Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who want to take a dip in the water, however, there are some options. In Cernobbio, the lake's Lido has a swimming pool. In nearby Moltrasio, there is a small beach. In the city of Como, there is an outdoor swimming pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is mostly discouraged or prohibited. Locals and visitors also love to go to Nesso, where the more adventurous can dive into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.
Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps may not seem very high, but the climate is still influenced by the nearby mountains and temperatures can change quickly. Pay particular attention to weather conditions during hikes and bring warm and waterproof clothing!

Very spacious apartment in a great location. Cernobbio is a wonderful base on Lake Como with easy access to ferries to other locations on the lake. Only issue we had is that the underground parking offered is only suitable for a small car and we could not get our large car into it. That said there was paid parking right outside the apartment.

We had a lovely stay at Sandy during our recent family holiday to Italy. The property was very well equipped and was withing easy walking distance to many restaurants, the lake and supermarkets.
