Courthouse Cottage is a charming cottage built in 1852, and former Magistrates Court adjoined to what was once the Eckington County Constabulary Police Station, situated in the heart of Eckington, Derbyshire This delightful cottage is perfect for families or friends seeking a welcoming getaway close to local amenities, as well as those seeking to venture the great outdoors, with close links to Peak District National Park.
Upon entering the property, be delighted by the characterful features of wooden shutters, original doorways, sash windows, parquet flooring, and exposed wooden beams, offering a glimpse into the property’s historic past, yet seamlessly blending with contemporary appliances needed for an easy and convenient self-catered stay.
The inviting sitting room is adorned with a Smart TV and an electric fire, perfect for those chilly evenings.
Draw your attention to the room's unique stone-built wall, originally part of a safe used by the council in its previous life.

Courthouse Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner with a dining table for four, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, tumble dryer, induction hob, fan oven, and a sitting room with a Smart TV and electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size (zip/link, can be twin on request), and a king-size. a highchair and travel cot are available on request. There is a bathroom with bath, rainfall shower over, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn, furniture with parasol, hot tub, gazebo, and roadside parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. You'll find the closest shop in 0.3 miles, and a pub in 0.2 miles. Courthouse Cottage is your perfect countryside escape. Note: There are a few steps to the exterior, please take care. Please note that the preferred changeover day at this property is Friday. Please note that dogs are not permitted on furniture or beds during your stay.

Beautiful cottage, the owners had thought of everything for a perfect stay. Lovely walks not far from the cottage and various dog friendly pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend to others and we have stayed at lots of cottages and this is one of the best.

What a gem of a place. Spotless, everything like new. Very well equipped kitchen, the cottage is cozy, comfortable, characterful and homely. The owner is very responsive to any questions, either about the cottage or local information. Lots of lovely walks from the door step, good local pubs/eateries, shops and a great location for exploring Derbyshire and Yorkshire. I'm sure we'll be back.

Gorgeous property, well maintained, clean and done to a high standard. The host was happy to answer any questions we had about the area. Good information booklet and was good idea for this to be shared with us before arrival .
