Talar Wen is a spacious and welcoming retreat set in an elevated position above Bala, enjoying far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside and a peaceful setting within Snowdonia National Park.
Ideal for families, friends, walkers and dog owners, it combines generous living space with cosy touches, creating the perfect base for both active breaks and relaxing escapes.
Inside, the heart of the home is the inviting sitting room, which flows seamlessly into a bright oak-built sun room.
With plush seating, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove warming both spaces, it’s a wonderful place to unwind after a day outdoors.
For a little friendly competition, guests can enjoy a game of pool or darts, adding a sociable touch to evenings in. The sun room features exposed timber A-frame beams and patio doors opening onto the front and rear garden, allowing you to enjoy the fresh countryside air throughout the year.Outside, the enclosed garden provides a lovely space to relax, dine alfresco or fire up the barbecue on warmer days.
As evening falls, the peaceful setting is perfect for sitting beneath the stars with a favourite drink and soaking up the tranquillity of this rural location.
The well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, whether preparing a quick breakfast or a hearty evening meal.

Open-plan sitting room with Smart TV, double-sided woodburning stove, pool table, darts board, selection of books and games, and a conservatory with the other wide of woodburning stove, and dining seating. Ground-floor double bedroom, super-king-size (zip/link, can be twin on request), and a twin. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, walk-in shower, basin, and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden with lawn and patio, enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture, barbecue, and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power bed linen and towels are included. Shop and pub 0.6 miles. Your journey to Gwynedd is guaranteed to be one to remember, with a stay at Talar Wen. An exceptional holiday home from home and host, this is by far the best dog friendly accommodation we have stayed at. Space, games, super high quality accommodation and the friendliest locals a 7 min walk away (also dog friendly). Everything you need as a base to explore the beautiful area (if you can bare to leave) thank you, we will be back.

Fantastic stay over Xmas week with our family. The house is gorgeous, spacious with stunning views and a brilliant location with a quick walk into town etc where everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Nice relaxing baths after our walks and used the super soft towels provided
