The only dining provisions at Lews Castle are within the Storehouse Cafe (on the ground floor), open from 10am-4pm each day.
Due to the unique layout of the castle, Calanais has limited views over the internal castle roof, but for those looking for a stylish base camp to explore the islands, it is the perfect option. Found on the second floor of the castle (accessible via a lift, then spiral staircase), this large bedroom has a double wardrobe with a coffee station, plus a large en-suite bathroom with a powerful shower.

Rooms and apartments are not serviced and amenities not replenished during your stay, unless specifically requested and paid for.
Our properties at Lews Castle have bespoke check-in times, that reflect the unique nature of the site, and how it's operated. Lews Castle welcomes guests to check-in daily between 4pm -9pm. Any arrivals outside of these designated hours will incur a mandatory early or late -arrival fee of £50. This can be pre-booked at the time of making your reservation. If you anticipate an early or late arrival please inform our concierge team during the reservation process or during your pre-arrival call with our operations team.
